Who is Matt Kemple?

I love comedy, theatre, building things, technology, music and movies. I live in Milwaukee,WI but grew up in Ohio. My full time work is Marketing/PR Manager at Next Act Theatre, a compelling and intimate professional theatre.  I have two major side projects that are full time jobs themselves:Director and Founder of the Milwaukee Comedy Festival, a celebration focused on promoting sketch, improv and stand up comedy throughout the Greater Milwaukee area; and the Co-Producer of Pink Banana Theatre, encouraging new and emerging artists to focus on their artistic craft.

I love creating, on a stage or with power tools. Not to toot my own horn (but this is the ‘About’ page), but I’ve aided in creating a dozen different theatre companies, as well as multiple programs and events with emphasis on new and emerging artists;I have extensive construction experience including three stages, light & sound control booth, recording studio, library, dressing room, wood shop, coffee shop, deck and almost a complete home remodel. My wife, Dawn and I  purchased a “fixer-upper” home and have been improving it by adding a master suite and gutting and rebuilding much of it (with proper permits, of course).
